Teaching brings me fulfillment in a way that performance cannot. It has been a true joy to see my former students achieve their goals and sometimes accomplish ones they thought were impossible. I have been fortunate to teach private lessons and group classes domestically and abroad to students of different ages and levels.
As an educator, my primary goal is to insure that students are actually learning and improving while studying with me. I bring to my students years of studying music with pedagogues, so that I can better relate to them as an instructor. Was it actually helpful for me when a teacher presented material in this fashion? Or could it have been presented better?
